Improved order tracking and Express Checkout coming soon

We are currently working on improving the order tracking functions for your ShopFactory store, so customers can more easily keep track of their orders. There is plenty of evidence which shows that keeping customers properly informed about their order cuts down on phone or email inquiries and increases their level of satisfaction.

There is plenty of evidence which shows that keeping customers properly informed about their order cuts down on phone or email inquiries and increases their level of satisfaction.

Once we have implemented this function, you can adjust the shipping and payment settings in your Total Care account — and every time you make a change, your customers will receive an email: notifying them of the status update. Instead of clicking on the tracking link currently available to see if there has been a status update, customers will be actively informed of any change, so they always know what is happening. You can also add a small comment or a shipping service provider tracking URL so customers can also track packages in transit.

When customers click on the 'Check update' link in the email, they will be sent to an online page where they can review the latest order status and read your comments. Customers will also be able to update their personal details to speed up future orders and to review orders placed in the past.

As more and more customers read their emails on mobile devices, this page will of course work on all computers, mobile phones and tablets.

The improved tracking functionality will be combined with a new GlobeCharge Express Checkout. Customers will be able to check out as guests or can log in to recover all their details and previous settings for a faster checkout.

While the GlobeCharge checkout process for ShopFactory stores can already recover some customer details from cookies, this method needs to be improved in the face of adjusted cookie laws in different countries around the world. Internet Explorer 10 which is on the horizon will also reject many cookies outright, making it necessary to improve this function. GlobeCharge Express will help maintain a simple and smooth checkout experience for your customers, regardless of the device they use.

New GlobeCharge Online Order Management Tools

GlobeCharge Online Order Management also has some new marketing tools for merchants.

One of the new tools we created is the 'Customer Listing' feature found under the 'Customers' tab at the top when you login to your orders account.

The customer listing tool allows you to quickly view: customers in short list format, their total orders (plus last date they ordered), and detailed information when you click on the customer's name. The main listing also indicates whether they have signed up for your mailing list.

You can also email them directly using the email link tool.

With this new 'Customer listing tool' — you can export out the data to use in other programs and services for marketing to your customers.

The 'detailed view' allows you to see the full contact details of each customer. You can also click on the “Orders Placed” to bring up a list of all the orders a specific customer has placed on your website.

The 'Search' tool allows you to quickly search through your customers in the database.
